mooringDesignSimulator v2 is a Python/Qt desktop application used to design static oceanographic moorings, manage a component library, run simulations, visualize results, and generate PDF reports.

• real project persistence in *.mooring.sqlite3
• dedicated design workspace with graphical mooring view
• component palette and segment editor
• library loading from Excel with a local SQLite cache
• editable current profiles with CSV/TXT and NetCDF import
• legacy V1 project import
